St Paul’s Church Howell Hill Wedding Photographer
Recently I was the St Paul’s Church Howell Hill wedding photographer for Helen and Joshua. It’s not a new venue for me as I have photographed several weddings there before. The church was packed with family and friends.
Thankfully, the weather in Surrey was great that day, the sun was in and out of the clouds and that worked fine for me. Said Paul’s Church Howell Hill is not a traditional church. It’s a modern building with lots of windows, which makes it quite light inside.
Joshua’s sister Sarah is in a wheelchair, so we found a grassy part at the back of the church for pre-ceremony photographs. Although the ceremony requires a reportage style approach, I believe that bride coming out of the car with her father and photos with the bridesmaids need some organisation. Everyone is at their best and the photographs need to do justice to that. Underlying that is storytelling. Someone who was not present at the wedding should be able to see the story unfolding through the images. And that requires a lot of a planned approach before pressing the camera shutter.
The ceremony lasted about 90min and that was followed by refreshment in halls of St Paul’s Church Howell Hill.
